Even rocks you find on the ground can have a use. They are a huge help in spells and are very easy to work with.

If you use tumbled stones, they’re small enough that you can hide if need be.

Stones are another really inconspicuous thing to use - my mother believes I just collect them because I think they’re pretty. Candles are also a cheap way to practice, if you are tight on money like I am. Colors, of course, can correspond with what sort of work you are doing (such as black for banishing negativity, pink for promoting love, etc) or you can purchase a lot of white candles, which can be charged with intent. Even little birthday candles, which are great for travel. I tell my mother that I simply like having candles lit in my room, and once she’s confident that they aren’t going to topple over and start a fire, she’s clueless.
Broom closet how to#
But, I still encourage you to learn all you can until you can jump the hurdles. If you have any other questions about closet witchery, or how to handle difficult family members or friends, please send them here to lunarlace or to caeriefaerie.Ĭandles are a GREAT way to practice without raising any suspicion. I do believe wholeheartedly that you should follow your own path, and sometimes there are complications that prevent you from doing so. Never fear, Caerie is here and she has many ways to practice without triggering any red flags at home.ĭisclaimer: I am not in any way encouraging you to lie to your family or friends. If you’re like me, you’re still very far back in the broom closet, and due to a complicated home life, can’t practice as often/in the way that you want to.
